Great Yorkshire Show 2026 – Park Section
The North Country Cheviot Park classes at the Great Yorkshire Show, held on Wednesday 15th July 2026, were judged by Mr Graham Dun of the Gilston flock. Travelling from the Scottish Borders to Yorkshire, Graham awarded his Championship to a standout homebred gimmer from Jack & Annie Brittain's Brittstone flock, based locally in Bedale.
Sired by Broomhillbank Emu, this stylish gimmer became the first English-bred North Country Cheviot to claim the Overall Championship at the Great Yorkshire Show in nine years. Congratulations to Jack & Annie on a tremendous achievement.
The female classes proved particularly strong, with the second-placed gimmer going on to secure the Reserve Overall Championship. Bred and exhibited by regular supporter K.O. Stones, she was bred from a Nun Cote Nook ewe and sired by Allanshaws Brazilian.
