North Country Cheviot Classes at the Devon Show
The North Country Cheviot classes at this year’s Devon Show were held on Saturday, May 17th, under radiant sunshine. Ben Baker of the BB flock traveled from South Wales to serve as judge and selected his champion from the well known Brimley flock, owned by Sam Pedrick. The winning entry was a two-shear tup named Humbleheugh Easy Rider, a son of Sebay Chopper, out of a Humbleheugh ewe sired by Gospelhall Wiggy. This tup was purchased in 2024 from Lockerbie for £2,000 as a new stock tup for the flock.
The reserve spot was also awarded to the Brimley flock, which featured a homebred shearling gimmer sired by another successful Humbleheugh tup used by Sam, named Humbleheugh Billionaire.
