Dingwall Hill Show & Sale 2024

The Annual Show and Sal eof North Country Cheviot Tups held at Dingwall and Highland marts took place on Friday 18th October 2024, a huge entry of over 750 tups saw judge, Mr Melfyn Williams, Pengroes select a two shear from JF Irving, Benger as his Champion, sired by ........ he later sold for £4000 to Scott Renwick, Inverbroom.

In reserve position, a three shear tup from Hugh Mackenzie, Badanloch comtinuing his run of luck for the year, this son of Badanloch Xtra Special sold for the days joint top price of £6500 and joins Gillesbie Farms.
First at the top money was a shearling from Roderick Runciman & Son, Allanshaws - Allanshaws Empire by Philiphaugh Xcitable and out of a ewe by Allanshaws Amen, who was not brought out for the show, sold to Mr Lawrie, Isle of Mull. At the same money was a two shear from L Robertson, Inkstack, sired by a North Loch Naver tup.

The Father and Son team. Scott and Farquhar Renwick from Inverbroom received £5500 & £5000 for their two best two shears, the first of which joins Roddy MacPherson, Riverfoot flock & the second gping to Pat Wilson Farms, while the Runcimans, Allanshaws were again in the money with another shearling again by Philphaugh Xcitable and out of a ewe by Inkstack Tima, this one joins the Balkeith flock of Mr Mackay at £4200.
