Longtown Ram Sale Report

The Annual Sale of North Country Cheviot Park & Hill Rams took place in Longtown on Wednesday 29th September 2021, a large entry of rams forwards was meet with strong demand.

Top price ont he day came from Scott Davies, Synton flock Lot 51 Synton B 10371 sired by Philiphaugh Wrangler sold for £1800, this was followed by Lot 53 Synton B 10375 sired this time by Hightae XTC selling for £1200. The Synton pen avergaed £748 for 6.

Also in the money was Roderick Runciman & Son, Allanshaws selling their top at £1700, Lot 26 Allnashaws Bigben sired by Sebay Xcitable headed home with Keith Stones, Nun Cote Nook.

Peter Hedley's Overacres flock sold above £1000 twice, first Lot 39 Overacres Big B sired by Gilston Xerxes sold for £1200 & next at £1050 Lot 44 Overacres Boris sired by Broomhillbank Wee Toronto.

Overall 127 rams sold to average £424.
