Caithness Show & Sale 2021

The Annual Show & Sale of North Country Cheviot Park Rams took place on Friday 17th September at Aberdeen & Northern Marts, Quoybrae, Caithness, with the pre-sale show judged this year by Aled Jones, Penbache & Graham Dun, Gilston.

A fantastic entry of rams was brought forward for them, they selected their champion from the Bardnaclavan pen of DN Campbell & Sons, Lot 73 Bardnaclavan Blacksmith sired by Wester Tamnavulin who was later sold for the days top price of £6000 & joins the Smerlie flock of Andrew Polson, Lybster.
Reserve Champion went to Lot 9 Longoe Blockbuster sired by Durran Xizang from Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust, he travels to Orkney to join the James Baillie's Sebay flock. The Sebay flock were also in the top money selling Lot 49 Sebay Buccaneer sired by Smerlie Xtreme for £5000 to Ben Baker, Abergavenny, & a another ram headed to Wales was Lot 77 Bardnaclavan Bullet sired by Allanshaws Tank, he joins the Glan-Ithon flock of Gareth Hughes.

A handful of quality gimmers met a brisk trade, top price was again from DN Campbell's Bardnaclavan flock at £1800.
