North Country Cheviot Sheep Society

"The North Country Cheviot is a big, long rugged sheep which combines thriftiness and healthiness with prolificacy and strong maternal qualities. The breed is particularly suited to grassy hills and uplands."


The North Country Cheviot Sheep Society is an organisation set up to provide information on the North Country Cheviot breed of sheep. This site will be of use to Society members, potential members and others interested in sheep breeding.

NATIONAL NORTH COUNTRY CHEVIOT SHOW

Following on from the successful first National Show at Dornoch last year this year's show is to be held on

Saturday 28th July 2012 at The Border Union Show, Springwood Park, Kelso.


Last year's winner was a home bred gimmer from Badanloch Estates Ltd., Kinbrace, Sutherland. Mr George Murray, Morvich, Society Honorary President, presents Mr Hugh MacKenzie, the Badanloch Manager, with the Championship Trophy. Also in the picture, Judge, Mr David Leggat of United Auctions.
