Clitheroe Sale Report 2019

The Annual Show & Sale of Rams & Females was held on Saturday 12th October at Clitheroe Livestock Market, the pre-sale show was ably judged by Mr Melfyn Williams, Pengroes, his Hill Champion was a two shear ram from Kelsocleugh Farming – Kelso Wildcat by Whitehope Swift sold for 650gns, Reserve Hill was Cairnsmore X 08034 by Buchtrig Thunder from J Landers, selling at 420gns.

Champion Park ram, Hownam Grange X 15630 by Nun Cote Nook Viva Las Vagas, a shearling from the Hownam Grange pen of W & J Thomson, with reserve coming from the same home & by the same sire, Hownam Grange X 15601, they later sold for 500gns & 400gns respectively.
Females were well sort after in the sale, Champion was a Gimmer sired by Allanshaws Nutter from KO Stones, Nun Cote Nook flock sold for £380 & Reserve a 3 Shear ewe from T Bell, Hilltop reached £340 both selling to the judge.
